New Research on Everyday Legal Needs in BC during COVID-19

Mark Benton Q.C. discusses the results of Legal Aid BC’s 2020 survey on Everyday Legal Needs. LABC runs the survey every 5 years (so far in 2008, 2013 and 2018), but chose to run 2020 survey to help gauge the effect that COVID-19 is having on the legal problems of low-income British Columbians.  As the justice system shifts towards making more evidence-based decisions, this is cutting edge research that can guide legal service providers on what legal work is needed now.
